I found out about Bluebird Coffee Shop in the East Village from the “coffee man”, Oliver Strand, a writer that covers coffee in a great way for The New York Times. Here are some photos of the place. They serve Counter Culture coffee and all of their pastries are made in house. Bluebird Coffee Shop is located at 72 East 1st Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue.
This looks like a place I'd like to visit, thanks for the heads up.
